Scholarship aid for undergraduate students with high financial need
who are graduates of high schools in the State of Maine. A preference
shall be given to students who are orphans, who were raised by a single
parent or who are from a town in Maine that has suffered a mill closure
or other major economic closure (such as Brunswick’s base closure).
As strong advocates of both higher education and family values, we are
pleased to help single moms who have shown strong scholastic ability
throughout their high school or college years get the financial help
they need to create a secure future for their children.
This scholarship is available to all single mothers who meet the following criteria:
Are a single parent
Custodial care of one or more children under 18
Do not have a college degree from a 4-year institution
Are enrolled in a 4-year institution or have a high school diploma
Please submit a 1,200 to 1,500 word essay in PDF or Word Doc format to
the attached submission form along with your full name, address and
contact details. We also require an unofficial copy of your high school
transcript or college transcript.
