Scholarships are open to both male and female applicants of at least one-quarter Chinese descent.

Scholarships are open to both male and female applicants of at least one-quarter Chinese descent.

The total number of scholarships to be awarded will depend on availability of funding and the number of deserving applicants.

About San Diego Chinese Women's Association

The San Diego Chinese Women’s Association was originally founded in 1981 as the San Diego Chinese Women’s Club, a non-profit organization.  At that time 10 women brainstormed the idea of putting together an organization to help what is now the San Diego Chinese Center. 

Thirty women showed up for their first meeting, which was a tea at one of the original founder’s home.  Now known under its new name we are a tax-exempt corporation as of June 26, 1990.
